نفى تركي آل الشيخ، الرئيس الشرفي للنادي الأهلي المصري، أن يكون سبب تجدد خلافه مع إدارة القلعة الحمراء، صفقة أحمد حجازي لاعب وست بروميتش الإنجليزي.
وأكد آل الشيخ عبر حسابه على "فيس بوك" أن الحديث عن رغبته في التكفل بصفقة أحمد حجازي للأهلي ورفض الخطيب للأمر غير صحيح، قائلا: "لما تشغلوا لجان على الأقل أعطوهم كلاما منطقيا مش حاجة متمشيش على طفل عمره سنوات".
كان آل الشيخ قد كشف في تدوينة سابقة، عن وجود خلاف بينه وبين إدارة الأهلي برئاسة محمود الخطيب، بقوله: "من الواضح أنهم لا يتغيرون. إدارة لا تريد مصلحة النادي".
وأضاف: "الباب اللي يجيلك منه الريح سده واستريح، حتى يأتي رجال يقدرون الرجال".
وتوترت العلاقة لفترة طويلة بين آل الشيخ ومحمود الخطيب رئيس النادي الأهلي، بعد نهاية انتخابات القلعة الحمراء عام 2017، وتقلد آل الشيخ منصب الرئاسة الشرفية، ثم تصالح الثنائي في فترة سابقة.
وتوترت العلاقة مرة أخرى ثم عادت الأمور إلى نصابها حيث تصالح الثنائي وسط دعوات لترتيب جلسة مرتقبة بين الخطيب وآل الشيخ.
