إذا توفّرت الشروط التالية :
أ – أنْ يأتي فعل (يكُن ) مضارعاً مَجْزوماً بالسكون . قال سبحانه و تعالى : ( ذلك بأنّ الله لمْ يَكُ مغيّرًا نعمة أنعمها على قوم حتى يغيّروا ما بأنفسهم )
ب - أنْ يتلُوَه حرف متحرِّك و ليس ساكناً قال عزّ و جلّ : ( فإن يتوبوا يكُ خَيراً لهم ) ، لذلك ثبتتْ هذه النون مثلاً في قوله عز و جل : ( و مَن يكُن الشَّيطان له قريناً فساءَ قريناً) لأن النون تَلاها ساكن ، و هو الشين في ( الشَّيطان ) .
ت - ألاَّ يتلوَه ضمير متصل ، فلا تجوز جملة : ( لم تَكُ هيَ )
وقد تتوفّر عوامل بلاغية تُعزّز هذه الشروط النحوية ، حيث يُلاحَظ من الناحية الأسلوبية البيانية أنَّ الآيات التي حُذفت فيها نون ( يَكنْ ) أو ( تكُنْ ) – و أمثلتُها كثيرةٌ في كتاب الله – كان للسياق الذي وردتْ فيه و للمضمون الذي تتحدَّث عنه أثرٌ في هذا الحذف .
هذا مع الإشارة إلى أن نون ( يكن ) يجوز فيها الإثبات كما يجوز الحذف ، كما يقول ابن مالك .
ومن مضارع ٍ لكان منجزم*** تحذف نونٌ وهو حذف ٌ ما التزم.
